Starter images and templates
We have prepared artwork to help you make a first story without searching for images. The Small Adventure pack contains 20 AI-generated images. The originals and usage terms are ready, but installer bundling, editor integration, and templates are still in development. The current demo does not include this pack or the new catalog.

The plan bundles the complete pack with the editor for offline use, copies selected images into a project, and includes required material in an exported game. These twenty images do not include audio, animation, directional sprites, tilesets, or a complete screen theme.
Artwork and rules are separate. Choosing a wolf does not start combat or create hostility. A vial, lantern, or ability image does not define healing, vision, or MP costs. Portraits and full-body images should use suitable slots, while condition names, durations, and stacks remain readable data beside the art.
A map image is also distinct from movement, vision, and tactical rules. Current creation maps and pins are separate from the planned interactive player map.
One place to choose a starting point
The planned home screen offers New project / Starter Templates / Open project, recent projects, and Git cloning. Starter Templates contains story, rules, combat, and screen filters with previews of content, images, dependencies, and notices.
New project → Empty project / Start from a template lets you choose how to begin. The latter opens the same catalog rather than a separate quick-start or sample list. Full-project templates create a new project; additive components identify the current project as their target. The three recommended configurations are planned in this same catalog.
Remove and restore built-in templates

Removal should persist through restarts and updates, without automatic reinstallation. Empty-project creation and opening existing projects remain available even after every template is removed. Bundled originals may remain as offline recovery resources. A new pack version should not overwrite modified artwork or project content.
First story: A Small Errand
The planned story meets the Pathfinder and Archivist at a camp, investigates, and makes choices without mandatory dice or combat. It selectively uses the camp, two portraits, vial, and key; the remaining fifteen images can be added separately. Excluding images should preserve the same text-based story.
This template is still being made. The images are ready; the playable sample will follow.
Finalized starter-image usage terms
The 20 originals in A Small Adventure 1.1.0 use Starter Image Pack Usage Terms 1.0. Creators may copy, modify, or replace images in projects; share copies needed for team production or project transfer; and include original or modified images in free or paid games and promotional materials for those games.
The attribution file bundled with a game must preserve pack ID narrafield.starter-fantasy, the version, generation source image_gen, and these terms. Modified copies retain the original source attribution and remain distinguishable from the originals. A separate in-game attribution banner is not required.
The terms do not grant permission to resell the original pack by itself as an image product, guarantee third-party rights involving external brands or people, or certify exclusive rights. Image permissions are separate from engine, SDK, and external rule-pack terms. The usage terms are finalized, but installer and store distribution are not ready yet.
