Editor menu guide

Find the right menu for your task. This guide follows the runtime 0.6.0 development-alpha menu structure. Older builds may show some Game data features separately as Items & quests or Rules & character.

Read the screen

  1. Use the top toolbar to open, save, validate, and preview a project.
  2. Choose a menu tab for the kind of work you want to do.
  3. Select an entry in the list and use the editing area to change it.
  4. Apply changes to the project, then Save them to disk. Check the bottom status area for the save state and folder.

Top toolbar

Action When to use it
New / Sample / Open Start a blank project, explore the sample, or open a saved project.
Save / Save as Write to the current folder or create a separate working copy.
↶ / ↷ Undo or redo applied edits.
Recover Inspect available recovery records. Preserve your current work first.
Validate / Play Check references and play through choices and branches.
Export Build an offline or online package of your game.
Join online / Server operations Join a session or operate it with GM credentials.
KO / EN Change the editor UI language. Translating game content is a separate task.

Add relations, maps, timelines, and factions when you need them. You do not have to fill every menu before starting.

Where can I see the new workspace?

New creation workspace shows the planned sidebar and separate project/app settings. The current demo uses the menus above; planned menu locations are not current instructions. App settings is already available in the toolbar.
